DAP vs DDP — Choose Your Incoterm
Because hardware ships internationally, the incoterm you select determines who pays import tariffs and customs fees.
Metrolla arranges shipping to your address. The listed price covers freight to your door, but you are responsible for:
- US import tariffs and customs duties
- Customs broker fees and clearance charges
- Any local taxes or VAT at destination
Best for customers with an existing customs broker or who prefer to self-clear.
Metrolla quotes a single price that includes the sensor, freight, and all import tariffs/customs fees. You pay nothing extra on delivery.

Most standard Hesai sensors ship in 2–3 weeks. Allocation, configuration, and destination can shift the window.

Lead times are estimates and begin after order confirmation and payment terms are settled. Custom configurations, export licenses, and country-specific inspections may extend timelines.
Regional Delivery Notes
Standard 2–3 week lead time applies to most SKUs. DAP customers should expect US import tariffs based on current HTS classifications for LiDAR and optical equipment. DDP quotes include these costs.
Transit adds 3–7 business days after factory departure. Customs requirements vary by country. DDP may not be available in all jurisdictions; DAP is the default unless otherwise quoted.
International air freight is standard. Local VAT, duties, and import permits are the buyer's responsibility under DAP. DDP can be quoted for select countries on request.
